How does the saying go? If it ain't broke, don't remix it? Well, Madlib and the gang at Stones Throw have decided to defy this convention by releasing Madvillainy 2: The Madlib Remix, a "re-working" of the classic Madlib/DOOM collabo, Madvillainy.
Originally created by Madlib to serve as headphone listening during a 10 hour plane ride to Tokyo this "remix" album became so popular around the Stones Throw offices they decided to make it available to the general public. The album is available as a digital release OR as part of a crazy box set which includes the following:
1. Madvillainy 2: The Madlib Remix CD
2. "One Beer (Drunk Version)" 7-inch
3. Madvillainy Demo Cassette
4. "Nominated. Best Rolled L's" T-Shirt
5. Madvillain Comic Book
Available exclusively at the new Stones Throw online store. Get some.
