HOT MESS...

Kick-ass new video from Canadian electro-funkateers Chromeo. This is "Hot Mess" from the recently released Business Casual. Two words for this one, simply irresistible.

THE LADY KILLER...

Rounding out the new releases for this week is The Lady Killer, the highly-anticipated new record from Goodie Mob vet turned pop/soul sensation Cee-Lo Green. The album features production from Salaam Remi, Paul Epworth, Jack Splash and The Smeezingtons who hit a home run with the insanely catchy lead single "Fuck You".

FULL CIRCLE...

Also out this week via Ghostly International is Full Circle, the debut full-length from drummer/electronic beat maker Shigeto. This album is REALLY good. Check out the video below for a teaser of each track on the album.

MAN ON THE MOON II: THE LEGEND OF MR. RAGER...

Another big week for new releases. First up is Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, the highly-anticipated sophomore record from stoney hip-hop crooner KiD CuDi.

Production on the album is handled primarily by Emile, Dot Da Genius and Plain Pat and features guest vocals from Cee-Lo, KanYe West, Mary J. Blige, Cage and more. My first time through the album was a bit underwhelming. Let's see if it grows on me.

US (JON HOPKINS REMIX)...

Speaking of Nosaj Thing's Drift Remixed, here is the video for "Us (Jon Hopkins Remix)".

DRIFT REMIXED...

The second remix album comes courtesy of LA beat scene standout Nosaj Thing. Drift Remixed features 8 tracks from 2009's Drift remixed by the likes of Low Limit, Teebs, Jamie xx, Daedelus and Take. More often than not the remixes don't outdo the originals but there are a few high-quality efforts on here.

SWIM REMIXES...

Two notable remix albums were released this week as well. First up is Swim Remixes from psychedelic sonic wizard Dan Snaith, aka Caribou. The album contains remixes of nearly every song from Swim from the likes of Junior Boys, Gold Panda, Ikonika, Nite Jewel, DJ Doze and more. A great companion piece to one of this 2010's finest releases.

L.A. SERIES #7...

Also out this week courtesy of All City is L.A. Series #7 featuring the notable talents of modern funk all-stars Dâm-Funk and Computer Jay. Behind the recent Daedelus/Teebs split probably my second favorite release in the series.

SMALL CRAFT ON A MILK SEA...

Also out this week is Small Craft On A Milk Sea, the new album from electronic music pioneer Brian Eno. The album is split pretty evenly between classic ambient compositions and suedo-industrial electronic tracks. I prefer the tracks that fall into the former category, but appreciate the experimental nature of the latter as well.

LIGHT YEARS...

BIG week for new releases. First up is Light Years, the highly-anticipated debut full-length from electro-funk beat makers Dark Party (Eliot Lipp + Leo 123). Fans of modern funk (think Dâm-Funk) and icy electro (think Jimmy Edgar) will be all over this one.
