Out this week via Ghostly International is Companion, a compilation of Gold Panda's early 2009 EPs (Before, Miyamae, and Quitter's Raga) along with a slew of previously Japan-only bonus tracks. Very good stuff.

One of my favorite records from 2010 gets the remix treatment. Full Circle Remixes features one new track from Shigeto and a slew of top notch remixes from the likes of Mike Slott, Om Unit, Mux Mool, Samiyam, Beautiful Bells and Take. Out today is Lucky Shiner, the Ghostly International debut from UK producer Gold Panda. The album is a stunning amalgam of deconstructed hip-hop, vinyl-static beats and heart-on-sleeve melancholia. Very good indeed.

Out today via Ghostly International is Disconnect from Desire, the highly anticipated new record from dream-pop outfit School of Seven Bells. I've only listened to the record once through but I really like the brighter, more upbeat take on their signature sound. Recommended.

Skulltaste, the debut full-length from NoDoz alumni Mux Mool doesn't officially drop until March 23rd but it's already available in digi format on iTunes.

Mux covers some serious ground on the album with tracks ranging from chunky hip-hop instrumentals to new wave anthems to dubby dancefloor numbers. My personal favorite of the bunch is "Get Better John". It's epic.
