MAN ON THE MOON II: THE LEGEND OF MR. RAGER...

Another big week for new releases. First up is Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, the highly-anticipated sophomore record from stoney hip-hop crooner KiD CuDi.

Production on the album is handled primarily by Emile, Dot Da Genius and Plain Pat and features guest vocals from Cee-Lo, KanYe West, Mary J. Blige, Cage and more. My first time through the album was a bit underwhelming. Let's see if it grows on me.

ERASE ME...

Goofy new video from KiD CuDi. This is "Erase Me" featuring KanYe West from the forthcoming Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Can't say I'm loving the new direction.

MAN ON THE MOON: THE END OF DAY...

Next up is Man On The Moon: The End of Day, the long-awaited debut from sing song hip-hop dynamo KiD CuDi. I've been eagerly awaiting this release for some time now but I must admit I haven't been blown away by the early singles. I'm anxious to hear the record a few times through and see how it settles.

I swear Rik Cordero makes a new video every week. This is Consequence & KiD CuDi with "Buggin' Out '09", a remake of the ATCQ classic of the same name (sans year). Taken from J.Period's free mixtape The [Abstract] Best Vol. 1.

DAY 'N' NITE...

Budding hip-hop superstar KiD CuDi FINALLY delivers the official video for "Day 'N' Nite", his breakthrough single. The video debuted on 106 & Park last night and hit KanYe's blog shortly thereafter. This was definitely one of my favorite joints from 2008.

WELCOME TO HEARTBREAK...

Here it is, the new video from KanYe West. This is "Welcome to Heartbreak" featuring KiD CuDi from 808s & Heartbreak. From the jump this was my favorite joint on the album so I'm glad to see it get the video treatment.

Bringing up the caboose on "NoDoz Week" is KiD CuDi from Cleveland, OH. CuDi specializes in cross-genre feel good hip-hop records that speak to the people. He's quoted as saying...

"People like records they can relate to, even if you can’t relate to something I speak about, you’ll at least understand my mind, I won’t lose anyone. Even if they haven’t walked in my shoes, they’ll feel me for me.”
