SWIM REMIXES...

Two notable remix albums were released this week as well. First up is Swim Remixes from psychedelic sonic wizard Dan Snaith, aka Caribou. The album contains remixes of nearly every song from Swim from the likes of Junior Boys, Gold Panda, Ikonika, Nite Jewel, DJ Doze and more. A great companion piece to one of this 2010's finest releases.

SUN...

SWIM...

Out this week is Swim, the new album from psychedelic sonic wizard Dan Snaith, aka Caribou.

According to Snaith, the aim was to create "dance music that sounds like it's made out of water". Mission accomplished Mr. Snaith. The album is a dazzling blend of classic Caribou style bleary-eyed atmospherics and house-inspired electronics. Listen for yourself after the jump.

ODESSA...

New video from the unpredictable musical force that is Caribou. This is "Odessa" from the forthcoming Swim due on April 20th via Merge Records. This one is a trip.

SHE'S THE ONE...

Here's Caribou (formerly Manitoba) with "She's The One" from Andorra, released last year on Merge Records. Definitely one of the standout tracks from the album.
