Who saw this coming? Future hip-hop beat maker Jneiro Jarel and dirty south rap royalty Khujo Goodie have joined forces to form Willie Isz. Their debut full-length, Georgiavania, is out today on Lex. Back to the future indeed.

DRUMROLL...
Never Better from P.O.S. is easily one of my favorite hip-hop albums to come out this year. Check out the Children of Men inspired video for "Drumroll" below. It's dope.

NoDoz: FULGEANCE
Next up for a NoDoz nod is One-Handed Music recording artist Fulgeance, the French don of the MPC.
The music of Fulgeance is a nice blend of French electro and instrumental hip-hop. Over the past year Fulgeance has delivered two solid EP's (Low Club EP & Chico EP) and has a third EP due later this year on One-Handed Music entitled Smartbanging. Check the audio after the jump to sample the flavor.

BACK AGAIN...
Brand new video from Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli + Hi-Tek). This is "Back Again" from the forthcoming Revolutions Per Minute. It's nice to hear these two back at it again.

AMBIVALENCE AVENUE...
Out this week is the Warp debut from lo-fi electronic artist Bibio entitled Ambivalence Avenue.
The album is a stunning blend of sun-kissed folk, cut-n-paste-post Dilla beats, hazy psychedelia, and crunchy FlyLo-esque bangers. Your summer soundtrack has arrived. Sample the goodness after the jump.

KINDA LIKE A BIG DEAL...
Brand new video from the Clipse, this is "Kinda Like A Big Deal" featuring KanYe West from the forthcoming Til The Casket Drops due later this year. This one's a heat rock.

ME-TIME...
New video from rapid-fire rapper Busdriver. This is "Me-Time (With the Pulmonary Palimpsest)" from the newly released Jhelli Beam. Without a doubt, Busdriver's flow is bananas!

GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE...LAZERS DO
Also out this week is Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do, the debut from Major Lazer (Diplo + Switch). Reggae isn't really my thing per se, but the production on this record is bonkers!

INTO THE HILLSIDE...
Out this week is the new record from producer/song-writer Cassettes Won't Listen entitled Into The Hillside. CWL (Jason Drake) sets aside his usual vocal contributions on Hillside and focuses solely on instrumental grooves. Check out "Hmmmm", the first video from the album after the jump.

NoDoz: PAUL WHITE
As I mentioned in a previous post, there are a lot of great new beat makers splashing on the scene this year. Included in this bunch is South London recording artist Paul White.
Paul specializes in moody sampled-based head-nodders that would make Madlib & Dilla proud. He recently released his debut full-length, The Strange Dreams of Paul White on One-Handed Music.
The album is available now on his Band Camp site where you pick the price. To get an idea of his style, check out "Time Wars (Extended Version)" below.

THE ECSTATIC...
Also out this week is The Ecstatic from Mos Def. I wasn't sure what to expect from this record based on the spotty output from Mos lately but it's actually quite good! Easily his best output since Black On Both Sides. Check out "Auditorium" featuring Slick Rick below. It's dope.

THE FOREST OF OVERSENSITIVITY...
The month of May was a little slow for new music but June has some exciting new releases in store. First up is The Forest of Oversensitivity companion EP from stay-puft fav Prefuse 73. More lo-fi instrumental beatscapes from GSH. Good stuff.

CHILLIN...
DC resident and hip-hop wunderkind Wale drops the first official video from his forthcoming debut Attention: Deficit. This is "Chillin" featuring (eeks) Lady GaGa. In my opinion this track doesn't stand up well against the material found on The Mixtape About Nothing but I still believe his debut will deliver the goods.

PARANOID...
KanYe West returns with the 5th official video from 808's & Heartbreak. This is "Paranoid" featuring Mr. Hudson and starring Rihanna as the focal point of said paranoia. Enjoy.

TWO WEEKS...
Great new video from chamber-pop outfit Grizzly Bear. This is "Two Weeks" from the critically acclaimed Veckatimest on Warp.

JAY $TAY PAID...
Out today on Nature Sounds is Jay $tay Paid, a 29 track collection of unreleased Dilla beats mixed and arranged by Pete Rock.
Executive produced by Dilla's mother Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancy, J$P is mostly instrumental but does feature vocal contributions from Black Thought, Blu, DOOM, M.O.P., and a few others. According to Ma Dukes...
"This album combines what he did in the beginning of his career, what he did in some of our early hospital stays, which was very deep, and some stuff pulled from old disks & DATs. It's mind blowing...this is like the missing links to Dilla's legacy."

BATTLESTAR...
New video from Harmonic 313 featuring Phat Kat & Elzhi. This is "Battlestar" from When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence on Warp. A word of warning, this video contains flashing lights...lots of them. Enjoy.
