Okay, let's talk about some of the records that dropped while I was away. First up is Sky from Dâm-Funk, the 5th (and final) release in his Toeachizown project. More electro-boogie funk goodness from the don of the genre.

New video from Finale. This is "The Senator" from A Pipe Dream And A Promise featuring footage from one of the finest TV shows ever made, The Wire. Sheeeeeeeeeit.

GREEN EYED LOVE...

Back from vacation and there's quite a bit to get caught up with. Let's start it off with the new video from Mayer Hawthorne. This is "Green Eyed Love" from A Strange Arrangement on Stones Throw. Not my favorite track on the album, but solid.

MY CABAL...

Not-so-new video from Ghostly International dream-pop collective School of Seven Bells. This is "My Cabal" from their 2008 breakthrough record Alpinisms. Good stuff.

adidas BERLIN x SOLEBOX...

The entire city series from adidas Originals Consortium is good to go, but I'm especially fond of the Berlin x Solebox.

New video from The Abstract Poetic, otherwise known as Q-Tip. This is "Life Is Better" featuring Norah Jones from 2008's The Renaissance. Check it.

Out today via Plug Research is Shafiq En' A-Free-Ka, the debut solo joint from one of the founding members of Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Shafiq Husayn. As expected, Husayn delivers the goods with a smoooooth batch of songs that expertly blend cosmic jazz, funk, R&B, soul, and hip-hop.

GHOST CLOCK...

Brotherly post-rock duo Lymbyc Systym leaked the first single from their forthcoming album Shutter Release last month via RCRD LBL. The song is called "Ghost Clock" and it represents a nice step forward for the band as they look to incorporate a wider range of instruments/sounds into their moody compositions. Listen below.

HOW I GOT OVER...

New video from The Roots for "How I Got Over" from the forthcoming album of the same name. HIGO is scheduled to be released on October 20th. Video directed BBGUN.
